HAPPINESS IS....

Here I am, back again. It has been more than a year, yet I’m back. This blog that I love, is like a life story for me. I visit here on and off now and that’s not intentional. Like all of us, I too am busy and have errands to run and whatnot. All that excuses other people give, I have them too. But I can never ever stop visiting here. The girl is still on the move. I want to talk about happiness today, and this is how I feel about happiness.

All of us look for happiness. We live and while living, we chase happiness. We do so many things to find happiness. All our lives, eventually, we look for happiness. If we find happiness, we still make other reasons and still look for more happiness. I guess you will agree with me, no doubt. Over the years, I have realized that happiness is also like a butterfly. If you chase it, it runs away. But if you stay patiently with hope, never giving up on things in life, happiness… it eventually comes and rests in your shoulder. This may not be true all the time. But in most cases, this is true.

If I ask you the question ‘Are you happy?’, can you give me a direct answer? I bet most people will answer with these: Either they’ll say ‘Yeah I’m happy, but…’  or ‘No… I’m not that happy’. That’s most of us. Some years back, I used to give the first answer. I was also chasing happiness for a long time. Then I found it. I found it when I found my husband. All went well after that. It was the start to my happiness. Then came so many things to be happy about. Right now, at this very moment, I AM happy. I have an awesome kid, an awesome husband, lovely family, in laws that love me… and things we both have accomplished over the past 2 and a half years of our marriage. But I will continue looking for happiness, as all of you. I will look for the happiness of my child.. and for the happiness of my family. Sometimes we look back and get surprised for how much we have accomplished within a very short time. But let me tell you one thing… True happiness comes from love…. the bonds we have.. how faithful we are for each other… how true we are for the people in our lives.. how much we show love to each other. That, my friend, is happiness.

You read a good book… watch a good movie… listen to awesome music… buy a new car… go somewhere cool for a vacation… go out to have a meal…all these things we do too. Why do we do these? This is also because of love : the love we have for ourselves. Isn’t it obvious?

TAKING HER FOR A WALK...

My little daughter is 3 months old for today. She’s growing up to be quite a charm. One thing she likes to do is ‘walk’. She doesn’t like to stay at one place, so she always lifts her small hands and indicates that she needs to ‘walk’. So we take her and walk around the garden, showing her what she likes to see. That’s a usual routine in my life now.

This morning too, I took her for the ‘walk’. The heat that lasted for about 2 months has vanished. The rains have started and it has rained heavily last night. Tiny mushrooms were bobbing their heads from the grass, where the grass itself was covered with drops of rain beads from last night. The grass was overgrown, since my dad couldn’t mow it recently, since he was so ‘busy’ with the baby. Nevertheless, the grass provided a soft velvet blanket below my feet. The wind was so cool: not that it was too chilly, but a soft blend of mint and with a dew-like moist. She started to look around, catching her eyes on the colorful flowers. There were red and yellow carnations. Another one was a blend of yellow and mild orange. It’s May! The month of flowers! The arch above the gate was groped by a vine of white and purple trumpet flowers. The most attractive thing was the swarm of orange flowers conquering the garden. That’s an eye-catcher for her. Then she turned her eyes towards the sky. From where I stood, the sky was a perfect glaze of milky blue, filled with a puffy cloud or two here and there. But from the distance, I could hear the slow rumble of an incoming rain. When I looked, I noticed the grey, gloomy layers in the sky in a distance. She started watching the sky too.

The papaya trees were heavy with ripe papayas. I could feel her listening to the sounds around her. Parrots!! Loads of them! The chirp of the birds was everywhere and I couldn’t figure out each sound by my own as well. There were like thousands of squirrels everywhere.. up in the coconut trees.. on the roof.. on the wall… Everywhere!! They’re so loud and reminded me of triggered alarm clocks! The green was everywhere! She was watching everything with the cool breeze caressing her tiny body. Then I took her near the wall. Since it’s the Wesak season, Wesak lanterns were already hanged at my neighbor’s place. The Buddhist flags are so colorful; she couldn’t help noticing them too. After a moment, a gush of cold air rushed through the garden and I realized that it’s the symbol of a rain coming our way. I took her back to the house. She looked disappointed. Just as I took her inside, the rain started, drizzling slowly, making the wind chillier.

She enjoys it all. I was thinking.. this is how we grew up when we were small too, with all this greenery, sounds and fresh air. Now we spend most of our time in the polluted city, because of our jobs. We’re forced to do that. My little daughter is still lucky to have this greenery and space. But one day, we’ll have to move back to the city, where it makes our lives ‘easier’ like clockwork figures, facing the same daily routine day by day. One day, she’ll have to get into that rush too. Then I wished for her to find a way to stay out of that rush and the noisy city.. Maybe she’ll be able to do that. I still love this greenery, but I can’t linger here. So I again wished that the things should someday change for my little daughter 

THE PERFECT DADDY....

When I waked up in the middle of the night the other day, I smelled a fragile fragrance from my hair. When I started to wonder what it is, I suddenly remembered it all. I went to sleep with so much uneasiness. One month left for the baby to come, my belly looks like a pot shaped large balloon, and rolling over, sleeping and getting comfortable is out of the question!! Even 6 pillows hardly do any good these days.  Sleep is the comfort zone of anybody at the end of the day. But for me, the toughest job of the day is, sleeping.

Now, back to the sweet smell… I remember him putting baby cologne in my hair that night. My legs were aching and he massaged them with baby cream. When I couldn’t turn, he rolled me over and arranged the pillows around me. Then he put on the net around the bed, switching off the light, came in with more baby cream. Then he started to rub the cream on my aching ribs. I don’t remember falling asleep. I just fell asleep with comfort. Whenever I wake up again, whining, he would gently stroke my back to ease the uncomforting. I watch him running all these errands on my sake. He would drop me to work every day, and come back to pick me when the work is over.

He won’t let me carry heavy things, specially my laptop bag, which is heavier than me. He wouldn’t let me lift the hot water pots, cuts fruits in the morning and prepares for me, sometimes when I feel dizzy, he makes drinks. Well… These are just a few things. Minor things he does. I wonder how he feels. All I know is, he’s impatient for the baby and he’s waiting and waiting to see her soon. He talks to my belly and tells her to come out soon, so that he can hold her. He admires the little wool socks and beanies I knit for her. He thinks they’ll look so cute on her! His eyes sparkle when he talks about the baby. The other day he talked to my belly and said ‘Daddy is working hard to earn more for her’. He really is working hard with extra work. What do I feel when seeing all this? No need to say I married the perfect man. But he’s gonna be a perfect and loving daddy for my kids!

THE BABY BLUES...

Baby Blues... is something a mommy experiences after a baby is born. Something like an emotional change.. The baby blues are suppose to come after the baby is born. But what I got is, most of our ladies have some kind of baby blues, even without having a baby in the tummy. This is what I've seen, and some of you might not agree with me on this. Have you noticed that most of the ladies nowadays prefer to get married in a late age? This is where it starts. After getting married, a couple usually has so many things to get settled with. The first thing is to settle down as a separate family. In our culture, we normally stay with our parents till we get married. Sometimes even after that, we prefer to stay with our parents. Getting used to the fact that you're married and getting used to the responsibilities as a married person takes a little while. Then there are financials to settle, buying vehicles, building houses, completing your higher educations, achieving your carrier objectives, etc. What usually happens is, the need of having a baby gets delayed. When a couple gets married, they usually seek a time period to 'enjoy life' or 'have some lone time together', before planning a baby. Then again, they might think that 'We need to settle down financially to think about a baby'. There are several reasons. One can't say they're unreasonable. But what eventually happens is, you got married late and you spend time solving your other problems, and when you complete all of it and turn back, you find that your biological click has ticked away. Then comes the problems. Sometimes you have to try for years and years or even run after dozens of doctors, wasting a lot of money.

Do women actually delay wanting babies only because of these reasons? What do you think? What I figured is, there are other reasons as well. They state the above reasons as reasons and hide away in their actual reasons. So what are the actual reasons? The main thing is the 'fear'. That's right. The second one I figured is responsibility, which is also a part of this fear. Raising a child is a huge responsibility, and some women do not like the responsibility. Believe it or not, but most women fear the pregnancy! The thought of bearing a baby in their tummy itself scares them. The pains and the things a woman has to go through during the pregnancy : they fear for it. The child birth itself, they fear for it. Then they fear the process of raising a child. It's a huge responsibility, true. But our parents DID raise us, remember? Then comes the 'stories'. This is a main thing. When you hear what happened to that lady with her baby, how she suffered through her pregnancy and stuff like the complications she got, eventually, a doubt gets planted in your mind. I heard the same kind of stories. But what I figured and what i think is, you're unique.. every pregnancy is not the same and thought those stuff happened to that lady, doesn't ever mean that they'll happen to you...!! Just don't listen to the stories, cz it'll only complicate your mind. Another thing is fear for sacrifice. Of coz, you have to drop eating junk food and switch to what you call 'healthy stuff' which includes more nutritions. Then you have to concentrate more on what are the good sources of fiber, iron, calcium, folic, etc.. rather than that tasty burger from the famous fast food outlet. Who wants to eat grains for breakfast? You'll have to! Then again you have to watch your blood glucose levels and pressure. Then you have to adjust your food according to that. It's a lot of sacrifice! You'll have to wear something comfy, rather than a stylish something. You'll have to skip foreign travel and long distance trips. That's just a few things.

Some ladies only wonder what to wear when they get pregnant. It's the LEAST important thing you'll have to care when you get pregnant, trust me. When a baby comes to your tummy, all you think about is the baby. You dream a LOT and your life ONLY evolves around the teeny thing growing inside your tummy. NOTHING else matters to you. The baby brings so much happiness to your life, and that's all that matters. I think being a mommy is the most wonderful feeling in this universe. I can't think of a better one. But IF you're clouded with baby blues and phobias, you'll never ever feel it..!! I'm not an expert on the subject, but I think I'm somewhere in the middle of the learning curve. So.. ladies, let your fears and worries go, cz we were made to have this wonderful experience in our life...!!

11 WEEKS AWAY...!!

Life has changed in a million ways this year.. and the year has almost come to an end. The girl on the move was so busy, she completely forgot about the blog!! That's kind of disappointing, I know. But she's back with good news. By mid April, we moved to a peaceful place where the two of us started our new lives alone. We switched our workplaces and started doing better. Then came the dream of building our very own house. Now.. What has happened is, we're starting to build our crib early next year, with a new addition..!! It's a baby...!! She will light up our lives, and it's just 11 weeks more...!! Things are happening in a good way, and the Girl on the Move is happier than she can ever remember...See you guys in a couple of weeks..!!

BACK FROM SPACE.. (WAS LOST IN SPACE)..

It's been more than 10 months the girl on the move went missing. Now she's back :D Lots and lots of things have changed in the past 10 months and the girl on the move is on the move again. The last post I posted was in April 2011. Now it's mid Feb 2012. Where was I? I fell in love and lost in the space. THAT should be the most possible explanation :D

Last March, I fell in love with the guy in my dreams.. and in last April, when he asked me to be his, I was the happiest girl in the world. So... on that day, I owned him. Then.. I got lost in space with him. This January.. we found our way back, out from the land where fairies walk every night.. and where the dreams we weave become a reality... him, holding my hand... being his wife... On this day, I'm happily married to the guy in my dreams.. The 10 months we got lost in space, were the most beautiful 10 months in my life. Everything... every teeny weeny thing, went right.. and you know..every girl has a dream guy. But we never get to meet the exact person. I did... and that's why I got lost in space with him.. just because we had so many things to talk... so many places to walk by... and so many dreams to weave...

Now, the girl on the move is back... and to think back, the 10 months which passes, is just like a beautiful dream.. But the most beautiful thing is, the feeling I get when I wake up every morning beside him... It's the most beautiful feeling in the whole world, followed by the happiness you feel, when you think that 'This is the one I'm going to spend my whole life with... The one I always wanted to be with... and the guy I always dreamed of'...

So... Here I am, back from space... I was walking the earth, alone then.. This day, I walk with him... till the world ends.. for sure...

EDWARD MAYA ROCKED SRI LANKA..!!

He came.. He performed and he conquered..!! It was so awesome and I was so lucky to witness in on March 25th. Romanian music always rocks. The music is soothing and the effect it creates is absolutely enchanting. Born as Eduard Marian Ilie in 1986, he the Romanian musician, composer and the singer has come a long way after his hit “Stereo Love” in 2009. Later that year, "Stereo Love", became a hit in clubs all over the world. While this success was followed by concerts worldwide, the song entered the top-5 singles charts in Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. This is where his success story began. He pitched in to the international charts by hit singles like This is My Life and Desert Rain after that.

Romanian music is yet to be popular in the international context, but has a promising future, no doubt. So, Edward Maya will have a promising career, one day and still he’s new to the international scene. The post sound formal? Yes…?? Lol, that’s because I would really really write some absolutely crazy stuff if I try to be informal cz I really really AM so crazy about Edward Maya’s music. Okay.. Letting it out and relieving… International artistes come and go.. Most of the time, they mime and the shows become total disappointments.

But this one…. It totally rocked…!! Can’t think of a better way for Sun FM’s comeback with Edward Maya Live show. It was all worth the money and the time. Honestly, I thought he’ll just mime some 3-4 random songs and go away. But he was awesome. He just knows for to get the crowd’s attention and get them spellbound. Awesome! After a session of songs, he started his DJ session with his fellow crew members Gabrielle and Mike Poison. It was all so awesome! So… pity for those who predicted that it’s gonna be a total bore.. and two thumbs for us, the people who made it to the show and had an extreme fun.. ;)

SO... IT'S FEBRUARY.. AFTER SOME PITFALLS.. :-)

Life wasn't prefect for the girl in the past two months. Exactly on December 1st, I had to fall from the staircase in the office and have a tissue dislocation. That's when it all started.. I couldn't walk. I had to stay home for 2 weeks for treatment. Things didn't improve though. So.. I had to go to work by office van, and since the project was on a critical status, regardless of the pain in the leg and the fact that I was using clutches, I had to work late and come home in cabs. I started missing the lectures in the weekends. Dolphin boy was the life saver and he was around to take me here and there. Then again, the dolphin had to fly back in mid December. The things grew more tougher. It was then when I realized how hard he tried to make me feel good even though I was in a crappy situation. Sometimes I had to work in the weekends. And yes. I missed classes. There were assignments. I had to finish them. I'm just so glad that I got a whole bunch of good friends. Manish helped me out with the HRM assignment when I was struggling with work. My friends printed and submitted my assignments.

January... Things were no good. Dad had to take me for lectures. He stayed there till my lectures end and he brings me home. Still, I couldn't travel in public transport. Mid January... The exams. I was terrified, cz with work, I couldn't study at all. One and half weeks to exam, I had to assign my role in the project to another and get back with studying. Still pathetic. I couldn't understand what the subject was..!! Damn..!! Barely managed to finish it off with self studying. The second and third subjects of coz, a friend in my class came for help. We studied together and the next week, the next 2 papers was done and over too. Now... February starts..!! When I got back to office, it was almost the last stage of the project and now the product is with the customer. They just started doing User Acceptance Testing 2 days ago. 2 Assignments left and managed to finish my part of the Group Assignment. One more to go. Leg of coz, it's 85% recovered and I don't have to use clutches or ankle guards anymore. It'll slowly heal when the tissues and ligaments start repairing themselves. So.... Can walk. Not long distances. But the good thing is, I CAN walk after 2 hectic months. The third term starts next week. 15 more weeks, and I'll be done with the 1st year of the MBA. That'll be a relief in biiig time...

So... That's what basically happened. Was busy. Was upset. Was a cripple. Now... most of the things are OK. Missing the Dolphin Boi and wishing he was still here though. Bottom line is... when all things get screwed up, and when everything is so dark.. you can still hope that it'll end some day. This time, it took me more than 2 months to get back on the track. But you know... in the end, all is well.... Keep rocking :)

AM I A DOLPHIN GIRL...??

The Blue Body of Water
The Green Scene Of The Sea
Has Always Appealed
And Been Restful For Me

The Moving of The Waves
The Sparkle and The Foam
Into Its Depth I Dove
Swimming Home …

Maybe I’m A Dolphin Girl
Maybe I Belong to Sea-World
Beside A Great
Red Coral Reef
I Want Gold Gills
To Water-Breathe

As Scuba Divers
Swim To and Fro
Looking At Me
Breathe In Awe!
And Float and Get
Tickled By Seaweeds
Then Swim Around
With Fish like Speed …

To The Surface
With A Giant Pearl
Maybe I Am
A Dolphin Girl..!

It's Twenty - Eleven.. :)

So... It's suppose to be the end of 2010 and the start of a brand new year. Bottom Line : I’m gonna wish you all a happy new year at the end of this ok? As 2010 rolls out, I just wanted to think back and recall all the good things and bad things which happened in my life : small things… as well as big things. And you guys.. my friends.. fit in for ‘good things’… So… like.. instead of tagging you guys in a picture, I wanted to write down something myself and say what you guys mean to me…

You all… my friends fit in my life from everywhere.. School.. .. Campus… Tuition Classes… SLIIT… Virtusa… Train… MBA class and JKCS… (And I’m putting etc. here for all of you who fitted in by all other numerous ways) Life was always not good. It wasn’t bad either. It was good at times and it was bad at times. We had good laughs. We had fun together. We went out together. We studied together. We had heart to heart chats. We were bookworms.. music addicts… movie lovers, meaning we had endless topics to talk about. When we were in pain, we still stick together. We console each other. We’re there for each other in need…

So… You… fit in at some point in my life… for better or worse and in pain and gain. Some of you were in some part in my life, but… whatever it is, it was an important part. Maybe we don’t get to stick together as we used to be. Maybe we do.. But whatsoever.. all I want to say is… dear friends.. thank you so much for being in my life… maybe it was for a short time.. or maybe it was for a long time.. and maybe it’s like we stick together forever.. like crossing hearts and friends for life. Whatever it is.. you are important to me. Thanks for being in my life and making my life wonderful and adding up so many memories to my life. When I get old (I mean.. even older than now) I don’t have to be a lost soul who’ll stare at the ceiling and think ‘Oh my goooosh..!! What did I do with my life? I tooodally wasted it..!’ Thanks to you guys, I don’t even have to THINK about it..!!

Want to say… love you guys.. I mean.. a lot..and I really mean it. Till 2010, thanks a gazillion… millions or billions for adding colour to my life. So… now that we have ended up in 2011, I want to thank you guys and wish you guys a wonderful wonderful year ahead. I saw most people commenting on 2011 as ‘It’s gonna be another roller coaster ride’.. Well… Let’s take the rollercoaster when necessary.. and at the same time, let’s slow down.. stop to think and walk slowly as well…

Have a Wonderful 2011 my awesome buddies…!! Luv u all….!! <>

ROMANIAN MUSIC ROCKS...!!

So... Who likes European music? Well.. I'm soo much in. So much in love with the house/dance music by a range of artistes like Akcent... Marius Nedelcu...Edward Maya.. David Deejay... Dony... Inna... Tom Boxer and DJ Project, did a lil background check on them. I was thinking that they were from all over the Europe. Well... Not really. They ALL are from Romania..

They have the catchiest beats of the house/dance music.. and you never get listening to them over and over again. If you want to give it a try, I'll give you a few suggestions. Check out a few of the VDOs in YouTube, and you'll see.. :)

Edward Maya is riding on the top these days with his 'Stereo Love'.. It's awesome. Check out 'This is My Life' as well. Akcent was there for quite a long time and my favs are I Turn Around the World, Lovers Cry, Stay With Me and That's My Name. Check them out. Inna's got a new single out called 'Sun is Up'. But 'Amazing' has an amazingly hot VDO which is.. well.. Go and watch it,lol..

David Deejay and Dony are a wonderful combination.. really. David Deejay has an enormous talent and to match it, Dony has a 'lovely' voice. I know it's a bit odd to called a guy's voice as 'lovely'.. but then again... it's a lovely voice. They both have done a great job with the hits 'Temptation', 'Sexy Thing' and 'So Bizarre'... Another one called 'I Can Feel' with Ella Rose, it's a classic as well... Accidentally listened to another dance track done by him with Indianotech and it was awesome too. For DJ Project, check the hit 'Miracle Love'. Marius Nedelcu was an ex Akcent member. Check out the hit 'Rain'. It's awesome... Tom Boxer got some chart hitters like 'Beautiful Day'...

Well.. You have enough examples now. Go go go and check them in YouTube now.. ;)

LIFE IN OCTOBER...!!

Things look sunny... Very much sunny. October started with the exam heat. The 1st Term exams were in the 1st two weeks of the month. Studying was sort of fun, especially when you have a friend. You never get bored. Anyhow, all 3 papers were not the same. One was so lame. That was the worst paper. The second one was good. The 3rd one was much better. The 3rd week, I had to suffer with an assignment. So.. The only holiday weekend after the exam was fully devoted to THAT!

Office life is kinda OK too. In a new project, with a new team, things are OK. More of my friends left the company. Now I have ended up with another bunch of good friends, eventually. So.. after like.. 7 months, I have claimed my position in the company, happily! More weddings.. more lunch outs.. more birthdays.. less movies.. a lot of music... and the start of the new Term in the Uni. The time table indicates that there are 6 assignments to be done within the next 3 & half months. Keeping ma fingers crossed and hoping the things are gonna be OK.. Cheers!

IT'S HALLOWEEN..!!

I WATCHED ROBIN HOOD....

Oh guys.. Agony! I watched the remake of 'Robin Hood' with Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett in it... It was horrible..! I mean.. really horrible. If you loved Russell in Gladiator, you'll only see that same Gladiator here.. not the Robin Hood in particular. It's a definite NO for sure.. Then I read a few reviews for the movie and i could find stuff like this..

"Boring and joyless, felled by a convoluted, mostly inconsequential plot, as huge chunks of the movie are taken up by negotiations and gamesmanship between characters we don't care about."... "What is missing from this version of Robin Hood is the fun that usually goes with things like robbing the rich and giving the loot to the poor"... "The film is pretty, and there are a few solid moments every hour. But considered as a work of cinema, with paid professionals involved, it's an extremely lackluster story."

Well.. There are good comments too.. But overall.. uh uh.. :-S

THREE WEEKS...

The shopping mall… Three weeks back… I was skimming through the colorful bling blings of the fancy shop. My eyes caught a peacock blue bracelet. Just lovely. I couldn’t resist touching it. So I did. Then I felt it. That soft fragrance... It was exactly 9 years I sensed it last. But I still remembered it. Still holding the bracelet in my hand, without turning back, I closed my eyes to indulge in the soft aquatic fragrance. Then I heard the voice. ‘I know you love blue. But that bracelet is so not for you!’

I turned back.. and I couldn’t help but smile. There he was, standing behind me… grinning.. hands in his trouser pockets.. and wearing a Peacock blue T shirt. I had to look way up to talk to the grinning guy. Too tall, he is! It’s been 9 years I last saw him. The first thought that crossed my mind was.. ‘Why did I ever let you go?’… Instead, I smiles back and asked… ‘Really..?? Then what does?’.. ‘Well… Why don’t you try this one per se?’.. He’s still smiling. Well.. It was an aqua blue bracelet with white seashells attached to it. It fitted perfectly… ‘See..?? There you go! Sea bracelet for a sea girl’.. Not being polite, not waiting to thank the guy standing beside me… I asked.. smiling of cos.. ‘What are you doiiiiing here? Aren’t you suppose to be in Australia chasing the dolphins in the sea?..’… Staring at the ceiling he replied… ‘Well.. I still do. Got here two months back… Just came here for a short vacation. Gotta leave in 3 weeks you know… the dolphins are waiting for me..’… Well.. That can’t be the only reason.. so I asked.. ‘Only the dolphins?’.. His smile was broad… ‘Yeah.. Only the dolphins’.. and showed me his ring finger… which of cos.. did not have a ring in it.. His chance to ask the question.. ‘So.. Who is waiting for you here?’… I too smiled… ‘Only the dolphins..’..

His smile was broader this time.. ‘Well.. Dolphins can wait a bit, can’t they? Will you care to join me for an ice cream.. if you don’t mind?’.. ‘Sure.. of coz…. How did you come here, btw?’.. ‘Well.. I came by car.. and there it is.. annnd I came alone. Need some sweaters to grab before I go, u know...’.. So.. We walked down the road… sat by this small ice cream shop in the street.. and covered 9 whole years within an hour…

9 years back.. I still don’t understand the reason why I did not want him in my life. Many times I tried to figure out a reason why. But I couldn’t. Then he left. I felt guilty at that time, thinking that he left just because of me. He landed in the Kangaroo Country and made his dream true, becoming a Marine Biologist. That’s all I knew. So we talked.. and we talked for three weeks before he left. The good friend I had to let go 9 years ago.. got back, just like that. The day before he left, I asked.. ‘When will you be back?’.. He said.. ‘3 months have to past’.. Then I asked ‘Are u gonna live all ur life there chasing dolphins?.. You’re never gonna come here and live?’.. Then he was quiet for a moment… I said ‘Hello… Are u still there?’ Then he started to speak slowly.. ‘I would be here.. only if there’s a very good reason for me to be here.. a perfect reason…’ He paused. ‘…. Do you think I’ll have a good enough reason to be here… someday?’.. Took me a while to get what he asked.. I just said… ‘Maybe… Yeah.. Maybe’.. Then he asked again.. ‘Are you sure about it?’… ‘Oh.. Yeah.. Maybe there could be a reason for you to be here.. So.. You should stick around to find out’… He was smiling.. ‘Yeah… I will.. and I will be back after 3 months.. You’ll keep in touch, won’t you?’.. ‘Oh yeah.. Sure I will’… Then he said.. ‘Yeah.. You better.. I can’t lose you again.. The last time I lost you, it took 9 years to find you.. You shouldn’t do that, don’t you think..?’.. ‘Yeah.. It’s a rude thing to do.. It won’t happen again’….

So.. it won’t happen again.. You should not let go people just like that… The three weeks passed.. The story.. to be continued…

10 Canine Commandments...

HIBERNATING...

The girl on the move is kinda hibernating. It's work. It's studies. I was assigned to a project which is to be designed, developed and tested and should go to the client within 45 days.. Oh jeez...!! Now I'm in it. On the other hand, the term end exam is nearing. I just can't understand how fast the days go... Or do they really FLY?? 3 in class tests and 1 assignment and 1 term paper is over. There are 2 more assignments and 1 term paper to go.. Oh maaan..! I'm done for..! Just struggling with the first one for days, and now.. kinda done 3/5 of it. Life just flows and days just fly. So much to do.. and so little time left. I can say that I'm not wasting my time now. But i miss living. Didn't watch a good movie in ages. After ages, I took a leave today, stayed home.. slept till late coz of a headache... woke up and then again.. Assignment...!! :-S

Books of coz.. been reading one called 'Fragrance Harbour' for weeks! No assurance when it'll be over, but I'm not stopping.. Last week.. I thought of giving myself a break from the rest of the world and thought to be like that till the exam is over... Well.. It's just the 1st semester.. All I can think is that 'One day you'll laugh about it' theory.. Lol... So.. I guess you guys are living ur usual colorful lives.. Cheers for that..!! Wait up..!! I'll be back to that life in errr... 2 years?? no no... 22 months..!! :-S

THE ONE THING I'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND AND WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND ABOUT GUYS..!!

The one thing I never understand about guys will always remain as the one this I never understood about guys! What the hell is that?? Oh well.. It’s simple. This topic came out at the lunch table today and I too added up my opinions to it. When the topic continued, some more people added their opinions to it. Let me tell you what it is… Let’s just say there are two ends to this story. Guy’s side and the Girl’s side. Guy’s side is what I don’t understand. So… Guy’s side : Here it is…

Guy’s side: When a guy meets a girl, whom raised his interest or rather curiosity, they tend to wonder ‘Is she the one?’. The approach: They become friendly with the girl.. But the guy has a fixed set of ‘expectations’ in his mind. They become good friends and slowly… the guy evaluates the girl, no matter how good friends they are. The guy watches the girl. No matter how much the girl cares.. loves… praises and looks after the guy, even if one of his ‘expectations’ are not met with the girl, the guy just thinks ‘Ah.. She’s not exactly my kind’. The guys always look for hard-to-get girls. What guys don’t get is.. Sometimes girls too play hard to get, when they sense somebody is interested on them.

The guy becomes curious about the unknown, mysterious girl more, than the one he knows well.. In most of the cases, what happens is, the mysterious new girl turns him down. Then only it hits his head. The guy gets upset. After a while he does it again. Not only my words, guys. These words actually came out of guys. I asked why they do it. They say ‘That’s how guys are’… Oh jeez! This is what I don’t understand! Why do guys do that? Well.. After so many hardships, the same thing again? I don’t understand this… and I never will.

Girl’s side: Girls do play hard-to-get. But a girl too has a set of ‘expectations’ about how her guy should be. Every girl has that expectation. But when a girl meets a nice-enough guy.. and if she likes him in any way, she does not look for all her ‘expectations’ to be met. Instead, she adjusts. Yes. Girls adjust. Guys don’t. Proves again that girls are from Venus and guys are from Mars.

I was just thinking that.. we have already passed more than one third of our lifetime. At the end of the day, guys.. girls.. we all just die. Do we have to be perfectionists? If we feel that we’re comfortable with someone, and you can be sure that you can live happily with them talking forever without a bore, even if you get old… and if you’re sure that you both will still be comfortable with each other when you face the obstacles in life.. why the perfectionism? That ‘comfort’.. it matters a lot. No… It doesn’t matter a lot. It IS the only matter. Just don’t be too choosy. One reason is, nobody is perfect. The second reason is.. you’re not perfect. So, don’t expect somebody else to be perfect. Whatsoever, in my case, that thing…. the one thing I never understand about guys will always remain as the one this I never understood about guys! Lolz… Complex creatures!

BYE BYE WEEKENDS... I MISS YOU..!!

Today, I woke up at 5 o’clock in the morning. Well.. That will be ‘normal’ for me, 7 days a week for 2 years! I had a tired week at work. My partner in crime in the office is down with viral flu. So I had to go through a hard time, as we started the first round of testing for a brand new Internet Booking Engine. In average case, I would stay late on Friday… watch a movie.. and of coz.. I would listen to some good music. But yesterday, I had to sit by my study table and ‘study’ for an assessment on today. Oh gosh! I’m back with books, pens, pencils, papers and time tables! Back in the University, jeez! The people at home still can’t understand why the hell I am voluntarily ‘sacrificing’ my weekends and ‘putting myself in trouble with studying’ all over again.. Lol…!!

I was sitting in the train at 6.10 A.M, studying the previous week’s lecture notes. Red nosed with a gruesome cold and sleepy eyes.. oh… here I am, studying! I looked out from the window and the sun was just coming out of the hiding. The train passed so many waking-up trees and they all looked so cheerful. On a usual Saturday, I should be still sleeping and dreaming something weird! Well.. I was thinking about the rush I have to be in for the next two years. I will have to sacrifice my weekends. I will have to limit going around the country for a long time. I’ll lose my sleep in big time. Why all this? It’s just that, to gain something greater to our life, we have to sacrifice certain things. I already miss weekends... sniff sniff.. It’s a big deal to me. But then again.. this is the right time for studies. Once an opportunity is gone… it’s gone. So.. I just don’t want to live my life and think someday, ‘I would’ve done this at this time’. But I have to pay some price… In this case… weekends and a few hours of the week to study…

Sooo.. Here I am. Back to pens, pencils and books! Economics, Management, Statistics and Market value Analysis. New stuff! Let’s just do this and see..!! Lol..

WHEN A GIRL....

A certain 'truth' about a girl's world - Found from an e-mail...

When you catch a girl
glancing at you,
she wants you to look
back and smile

When a girl bumps into your arm
while walking with you
she wants
you to hold her hand

When she wants a hug
she will just stand there

When u break a girls heart
she still feels it when
you run into each other 3 years later

When a girl is quiet,
millions of things are running through her
mind

When a girl is not arguing,
she is thinking deeply

When a girl looks at you with eyes full of
questions,
she is wondering how long you will be
around

When a girl answers, "I'm fine," after a
few seconds,
she is not at all fine

When a girl stares at you,
she is wondering why you are playing games

When a girl lays her head on your chest,
she is wishing for you to be hers forever

When a girl says she can't live
without you,
she has made up her mind that you are
her future

When a girl says, "I miss you,"
no one in this world can miss you more
than that

When a girl is mean to you after a break-up
she wants you back, but shes
scared she'll get hurt and knows
you're gone forever
